During Exploration Week, York Prep's 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students chose a related arts class to attend for 5 consecutive days. Students who selected Music Exploration composed a musical piece or wrote/directed a theatrical play. At the end of the week, each student performed their original creation to the applause of their peers. A huge thank you to Ms. Amanda Bernard and Ms. Leigh Ann Hernandez for their hard work and creativity in making this a tremendous experience for our students!
Today is the start of Patriot Days! What is Patriot Days?
Patriot Days is a school-wide celebration ending with our Patriot Fun Run and Color Run. York Prep’s main fundraiser of the year, family and friends support our school by collecting run pledges and then attend to cheer on their student.

York Prep 3rd graders had the opportunity to meet virtually with author, Liesl Shurtliff last week! They discussed her book, "Rump: The True Story of Rumpelstiltskin," went through the writing and editing process, and got a sneak peak into what she's working on now. Thanks for inspiring our students towards imagination, creativity, and self-expression!
Congratulations to York Prep 9th grader, Damien Carter for being named the York Youth of the Year! Started in 1947, Youth of the Year is the "Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Premier Recognition Experience" and is a comprehensive leadership program. York Prep Middle School's MathCounts team headed to the MathCounts Regional Chapter Competition today to compete with 7 other schools for advancement to the state level. We were so proud of our students who represented YPA well! We can't wait to hear the results!
