Priority Enrollment Update 8/14/25: The South Carolina General Assembly passed Act No. 47 (H.3862) allowing charter schools to offer enrollment preference to military dependents. As of 8/14/25, York Preparatory Academy will offer priority to the dependents of active-duty members of the military residing or stationed in this State.
Updated Priority Policy Reads: York Preparatory Academy will afford priority enrollment status to siblings of a pupil currently enrolled and attending, siblings of York Prep graduates, children of charter school employees and board members, and the dependents of active-duty members of the military residing or stationed in this State. Priority enrollment status does not guarantee any student admission to YPA, as acceptance remains based on space availability in each applicable grade.
