School/Parent Partnership is proven to improve a student's academic outcomes. In a manuscript published by the US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health, it states that parent involvement "is consistently found to be positively associated with a child's academic performance." It goes on to say this involvement includes, "activities that parents engage in at home and at school and positive attitudes parents have towards their child's education, school, and teacher." To help define both the parent and school's individual responsibilities in partnership, York Prep has created our Community Agreement. In each agreement, the school and family makes a commitment to follow our community standards for the benefit and success of each child. As we embark on a new school year, please review each agreement and make a commitment for School/Parent Partnership in the upcoming school year.
