York Preparatory Academy is a public charter school with over 1665 students and 200 staff members. To accommodate our K5-12th grade student body, York Preparatory Academy is comprised of five separate buildings on one beautiful 43-acre campus.

  • Elementary Building: K-4th grade

  • Student Union Building: 5th grade and MS electives

  • Middle School Building: 6th-8th grade

  • High School Building: 9th-12th grade

  • Athletic Field House: Food Prep Kitchen, MS and HS Cafeteria, Staff Wellness Center

York Preparatory Academy welcomes students from York County and the surrounding counties in South Carolina. As a public charter school, all eligible K5-12th grade students residing within South Carolina are eligible to attend YPA regardless of their zoned school district, race, religion, gender, creed, national origin, disability, ancestry, need for special education or itinerant services, or socioeconomic condition.
