Patriot Volunteer Organization

Our Patriot Volunteer Organization consisting of teachers, administration, and all interested families whose goal it will be to:

    1) Increase partnership between the school and parent community
    2) Strengthen the sense of pride and school spirit
    3) Support school programs and activities

This group will meet once a month and will organize and carry out school activities, create, advertise, and follow-up on opportunities for parents to volunteer in the school, and brainstorm ways to help make our students and programs more successful. Participation is flexible and there is no set time commitment or responsibilities so come and see what the excitement is about!

    • Freshman Job Shadowing Day: November 15 at YPA High School. Ninth grade students will be visiting workplaces to get an up-close look at what a "real job" is like. The students will see the connection between what they learn in the classroom, and what they need to do to achieve their goals. Job Shadowing experiences make a difference in students' lives by giving them a new vision for their future. The experiences that students obtain through job shadowing can provide inspiration that will change their lives forever. We need YOUR help! We need parent volunteers to host ninth grade YPA students in their workplace for job shadowing. If you would like to make a difference in a child's life, please contact Dr. Coogler at (803)-324-4400, ext. 5105, or leigh.coogler@yorkprepsc.org.
