Day Field Trips
If you have given the School Nurse an emergency medication for your child within the guidelines of YPA’s medication policy, the nurse will provide the medication(s) to the child’s teacher to be administered by the teacher for the field trips. It is the teacher's and parent’s responsibility to notify the nurse of any scheduled field trips. Field Trips Extended Past Normal School Hours or Overnight:
Field trips can be fun for the student but worrisome for the parent if your child has a chronic health condition or takes medication. Typically the school nurse does not go on field trips, so early planning and meeting with the school nurse/teacher can help alleviate fears and concerns.
