Free Meals Through December 31, 2020
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has granted approval for York Prep to participate in the meal program through December 31, 2020 or until available funding runs out. That means that all students will be eligible to receive FREE breakfast and lunch until December 31, 2020 or while funding is available.
Offering Free Meals on Virtual Days
York Prep is pleased to announce that students will now have the option to receive free meals on days they are learning virtually from home. Please complete this FORM to express interest in your student receiving free breakfast and/or lunch from 12:45-1:15 pm on virtual school days. Menu selections will be limited based on availability.
Please complete one FORM per student. The deadline to complete this form is Friday, October 2, 2020. York Preparatory Academy will be announcing the virtual meals start date. The free meal program is only available to students enrolled at York Preparatory Academy.
Provide Menu Feedback and View Nutrition & Allergy Information
York Prep is committed to providing delicious nutritious menu options for our students and staff. As we continue to try new menu items, your feedback helps us know which items to continue offering. Menu ratings as well as nutrition and allergy information can be found by:
- Selecting your student's menu at the following LINK
- Clicking on the magnifying glass on the calendar day to provide feedback ratings and to view the nutrition and allergy information.
Purchasing Ala Carte Items
Free meals will include an entrée, fruit and/or vegetable and milk from our menu selection. York Prep will continue to offer new ala carte items that may be purchased using funds from their meal account through K12PaymentCenter. For directions on setting up your student's meal account, please see the following LINK. If you have already loaded money on your student's account, they will be able to use these funds for ala carte items or the funds will be saved for future use in January 2021.
2020/21 Free/Reduced Lunch Applications
You can now apply online for your student to receive free or reduced price school meals at LunchApplication.com. Once your application has been received, YPA will determine your eligibility and send you a letter via email or mail with the results. A family can fill out an application for free/reduced lunches at anytime during the year. Family dynamics may change. If a family received free/reduced lunch last year, the deadline to complete a 2020 application is October 31, 2020. Each year a new application must be filled out by every family interested in receiving free/reduced meals.
