What Is This Class?

Students get the opportunity to learn and practice Spanish using real world situations.  I believe in a judgement-free classroom where students are encouraged, supported, and feel safe.  I speak Spanish as much as possible in class and expect students to attempt the same.

  • Hay Un Mono

We are working on a short video series called Hay Un Mono.  There are four stories with eleven episodes each.  If your child did not take Spanish with me last year, I would like them to watch the first two stories so that we are all on the same page.  The link for the video series is: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPD6O-TouCqQXu4LDPOnzAUGDh7r3G7TV

Each video is 2-3 minutes long.  It should take a little over an hour from start to finish.  It would be ideal if they watched three or four at a time and then took a break.

Watching these videos is very important as we are working on Comprehensible Input this year.  I want the students to "understand" what it is that they are learning.  We have a lot of fun projects based on comprehensible input.
