Modern World History

This course covers world events since 1945.  Key topics will include the Cold War, the break-up of the USSR, decolonization and independence movements in Africa and Asia, the spread of industrialization and technology, movements toward democracy and the rise of global terrorism.  There will be an emphasis on understanding current events in light of history.
