Meet the Teacher

Hello!

Hello, my name is Ms. Amanda Baumann and I am very excited to be your child’s fourth grade teacher! I graduated SUNY Oswego College and obtained my New York State certification in Elementary Education. Upon graduation I accepted a teaching job at a gifted and talented magnet school in North Carolina. It was truly a great experience, which opened up the opportunity for me to be the 4th grade GT Teacher this year! This is my second year with the YPA family.

I was born and raised on Long Island, New York. My favorite hobbies include crafting, professional cheerleading, tennis, and reading. I love incorporating my crafting talents into my classroom and encourage creativity while learning across all subject areas. This includes hands-on activities that engage all learning styles. I have a passion for teaching and I hope to instill a love of learning that will stay with your child forever!
